The Writhing wall event will be a limited time once off event beginning October 13th, each realm will be able to start and progress the writhing wall event starting with phase 1. This will be a server race to see who can complete the event first; only once your server has completed phase 3 will you be able to enter Eastern Solstice.

Because the Writhing Wall event progress is tailored per server, players on lower-population servers (like Console) will progress more easily compared to those on busier servers, such as PC.

Event tickets will not be available for the Writhing Wall Event.

Disclaimer: The event has been live for 2 days as of writing this disclaimer and they keep quietly changing official posts with new or changed information. Please take all information about this event with a grain of salt be it from ZoS or otherwise. There has been a number of bugs, from items not dropping to the boss from phase 2 being active to siege camps not spawning and some rewards have been updated to now only drop in phase 2 like the skill style fragments.

Phase 1

During phase 1 you can start the intro quest and “War effort and defense” daily quests on Solstice.

There will be 4 “Camp Supplies” daily quests. [Listed here]

6 Crafting daily quests.

1 quest to collect Vitrified Souls.

1 Siege Camp World Event.

Delve and Public Dungeon “Invasions”.

There will be special Delve and Public Dungeon “Invasions” that will be marked with a blue glowing event icon. These will have their enemies replaced with stronger Worm Cult invaders. This allows players who don’t own Solstice to participate and help progress the event.

As the phase progresses siege camps will start to update and show a more complete model, you will also be able to track your servers progress of the writhing wall event in the activity finder and Solstice map.

Phase 2

During phase 2, we will have additional daily quests available, Siege camps will increase in difficulty and a new World Boss will appear. There will be 4 new Camp Supplies, and 6 new Crafting daily quests available. Along with a new World boss “Ghishzor” from Eastern Solstice appearing in Western Solstice.

This phase will progress much like phase 1 with daily quests progressing each servers meter. Phase 2 will also increase the difficulty and frequency of Siege Camps.

The Meridian Lens will now begin firing at the writhing wall. You will still be able to see the progress in the activity finder and Solstice map.

Phase 3

Phase 3 will only begin after Update 48 launches and phase 2 has been completed. When phase 2 has been completed a countdown will appear in the activity finder, counting down till the start of phase 3 will begin.

After the timer completes, a crack will appear in the Writhing Wall allowing you to enter the Writhing Fortress public dungeon, A time-limited and only available during the event instance.

Work together with other players to complete this dungeon and open a hole in the wall. After one group completes the Writhing Fortress, Eastern Solstice will be open to all players on that server.

You will have 7 days to complete the Writhing Fortress before the event ends and the dungeon is no longer accessible.

Completing the Fortress will award a unique “Wall Breaker” title, you will only have 7 days to get this title, so be sure to complete it while you can.

Rewards

You can earn a host of rewards during the Writhing Wall Event. These include new Motifs, Style pages, Pets, Mounts and more!

All but the Siege Camp daily quests will only be available during the event, So be sure to get all the rewards while you can.

Reward Coffers

You will be able to earn Writhing Reward Coffer from the new daily repeatable quests, Defeating Generals at Siege Camps, and the new World Boss “Ghishzor”. Additionally, you can earn up to 3 gold-quality Glorious Writhing Reward Coffer.
You will receive 1 Glorious Writhing Reward Coffer each from:
◘ The first Vitrified Souls or Collect x amount of y item daily quests.
◘ The first Siege Camp daily quest from General Zasimba you complete each day.
◘ The first event Crafting daily of any type you complete each day.

These coffers have a chance to contain:

Caltrops, Bone Skill Style fragments [25 needed to unlock the skill style – Phase 2]

Wormwrithe Haj Mota Hatchling Pet fragements [25 needed to unlock the pet]

Fellowship of Stirk style item

Wormwrithe Outfit Style pages

Wormwrite Weapon Style pages

Set items from Western Solstice

Vitrified Souls and Siege Camp quests only:
Items you can sell to merchants for gold.
[There is a very small chance this will be replaced with the Coldharbour Surreal Estate if you do not already own it. Or a very valuable sell-able item if you do.]

Siege Camp quests only:
Fellowship of Stirk Motif pages [guaranteed in Glorious coffers]

Crafting quests only:
A chance at a new blue or purple furnishing plan – Same crafted type as what was used in the quest.

Golden Pursuit

Additionally during the Writhing Wall event, there will be an active Golden Pursuit. Task will be centered around the event. The full list of rewards are unconfirmed but the headline items will be a Coldharbour Dremnaken Runt Pet and Wormwrithe Bear-Lizard Mount.

Twitch Drops

After a decade, ZoS have finally given us a Twitch drop to look forward to, During the event people streaming ESO on Twitch will have drops active. These drops will contain a Mount and Pet that were previously only available in the Crown Store.

To link your twitch and ESO accounts go to https://account.elderscrollsonline.com/ and log in. Under “Linked Accounts”, select “Twitch” and follow the prompts to enable the link. Once enabled you can watch any ESO content with the “Drops Enabled” tag to start earning progress, which can be tracked here: https://www.twitch.tv/drops/inventory

Once a drop is earned it will need to be claimed in the drops inventory, after claiming the rewards will appear in game. Restarting the game may be required.

Event Exclusives

The only reward that should be exclusive to the event is the “Wall Breaker” title for completing the Writhing Fortress Public Dungeon. This title will only be available for the final 7 days of the event. After that the Writhing Fortress will no longer be available.
